Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Patoosa. They are meant to be read, not to be scrolled past, so they are short.

The short version. Play fair, be decent to your crew, and understand that coins and items are game currency with no cash value. We can close accounts that cheat or abuse people. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.

1. Who we are

Patoosa is published by Konstantinos Lepidas, based in Greece. Questions: sonidbike@gmail.com.

2. Your account

You need an account to play. You are responsible for keeping access to it secure, and for what happens under it. One person, one account — do not share logins or run several accounts to gain an advantage in a race.

You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Patoosa is rated for a general audience but is not directed at children under 13.

3. Fair play

Your position in a race comes from the step count Apple Health reports. Do not fake it — that means no shaking your phone on a machine, no modified or jailbroken device feeding false motion data, no automation, and no tampering with the app or our servers.

Cheating spoils the game for the people you are racing, who are your friends. We may reset scores, remove items or coins, or close an account that does it.

4. Coins, items and purchases

Coins and power-ups are a licence to use features inside Patoosa. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts.

Purchases are handled by Apple, so Apple's terms and refund process apply. If you want a refund, request it through Apple; we cannot issue one on your behalf. Consumable purchases are credited to the account that bought them and are lost if that account is deleted.

We may change prices, or add and retire items. Anything you have already bought stays yours for as long as your account exists and the item exists in the game.

5. Your crew

Anyone with your crew's invite code can join it, so share it only with people you want to race. Inside a crew, members see your display name, your character and your step count for the current race. Choose a display name you are happy for them to see, and do not use a name that impersonates someone else or is abusive.

6. Health, not medical advice

Patoosa counts steps for a game. It is not a medical device, gives no health or fitness advice, and should not be used to make decisions about your health. Move at a pace that is safe for you, and pay attention to where you are walking.

7. Availability

We try to keep Patoosa running, but it is provided as-is. Races settle at 21:00 in your crew's timezone; outages, device problems or a phone left on a desk can all affect a day's result, and results are final once settled.

8. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Me → Delete account inside the app. It is immediate and permanent: your profile, step history, crew membership, coins and items are removed. See the privacy policy for the detail.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why where we can.

9. Changes

If these terms change materially we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

10. Law

These terms are governed by Greek law. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement.
